High pressure (up to ∼2.2 GPa) Raman scattering studies were performed in carbon tetrachloride (CCl4) under static and dynamic compressions using diamond anvil cell (DAC) and laser-driven shock methods, respectively, and their results are compared.

We present results on the dynamics of laser-induced blow-off shockwave generation from the rear side of 20 µm thick aluminum and copper foil confined with a glass (BK7) substrate. These foils are irradiated by 10 ns, 532 nm laser pulses of energy 25

The combined effect of thermal flux inhibition and non-local electron heat flux in the radiation hydrodynamics (RHD) simulation of laser-driven systems can be accurately predicted by using non-local electron transport (NLET) models. These models can

Shock wave-induced changes in intra-molecular vibrations of polyvinyl toluene (PVT) in a confined geometry target assembly are studied over the pressure range of 0–2.25 GPa. A comparative study of the behavior of PVT in the dynamic and quasi-hydros

The microscopic and dynamic response of the atactic polystyrene molecules under shock compression at laser power density of 4.9 GW/cm2 was studied using time-resolved Raman spectroscopy. The shock pressure estimated in the polystyrene sample was 2 GP

We have carried out Raman spectroscopic measurements on atactic polystyrene (aPS) under shock compression up to 2 GPa. Observed wavenumber shifts of Raman active modes have been used to determine their Gruneisen parameters and bond anharmonicities. R
