Abstract Background During clinical practice we have noticed that some patients with hyperthyroidism have finer skin with less wrinkles, pores, and spots after thyroidectomy, and the improvement can be observed within a few weeks after the operation.

Selective assembly of monolayered MoS2 (A) and In2Se3 (B) in solution gives a controllable atomic AB-type layer stacking. A new class of photocatalysts can be tailor-made with high activity using this simple but inexpensive bottom-up solution method.
