High spin states in the isotope 194Hg were populated using the 150Nd (48Ca,4n) reaction at a beam energy of 213 MeV. A sequence of dip ole transitions has been observed above 8 MeV excitation energy. Cross-over transitions have also been identified.

We report results from an experiment on the decay of the high-K isomers in 254No. We have been able to establish the decay from the known high-lying four-quasiparticle isomer, which we assign as a K π = 16 + state at an excitation energy of E x = 2.
