BackgroundProton pump inhibitors (PPIs) reduce gastrointestinal bleeding events but may alter clopidogrel metabolism. We sought to understand the comparative effectiveness and safety of prasugrel versus clopidogrel in the context of proton pump inhib

Background Few studies have examined how antiplatelet therapies are selected during the routine care of acute myocardial infarction patients, particularly relative to the patient's estimated mortality and bleeding risks. Methods and Results We examin

BackgroundLongitudinal clinical investigations often rely on patient reports to screen for postdischarge adverse outcomes events, yet few studies have examined the accuracy of such patient reports. Methods and ResultsPatients with acute myocardial in

Development of T cell receptors (TCRs) as immunotherapeutics is hindered by inherent TCR cross-reactivity. Engineering more specific TCRs has proven challenging, as unlike antibodies, improving TCR affinity does not usually improve specificity. Altho

CD8+ T cells are crucial for viral elimination and recovery from viral infection. Nonetheless, the current understanding of the T cell response to SARS-CoV-2 at the antigen level remains limited. The Spike protein is an external structural protein th

IntroductionSignificant evidence suggests a connection between transplant rejection and the presence of high levels of pre-existing memory T cells. Viral infection can elicit viral-specific memory T cells that cross-react with allo-MHC capable of dri

MHC restriction depicts CD4+ T cell activation by MHC-II and CD8A+ by MHC-I, but rare T cells with mismatched MHC restriction have been reported. Here the authors use crystallography to describe features of such a mismatched TCR-MHC interaction and i

Bulk analysis of renal allograft biopsies (rBx) identified RNA transcripts associated with acute cellular rejection (ACR); however, these lacked cellular context critical to mechanistic understanding of how rejection occurs despite immunosuppression

The immunogenicity of peptides is believed to be determined by their high-affinity binding to MHC I. Here authors show that low-affinity MHC I-peptide interactions are also able to trigger robust T cell response and anti-tumour immunity in vivo.
