In this article, I report in-situ thin film growth and etching measurement and control with ultra high precision. A stack of thin film layers of AlAs/Al0.1Ga0.9As to form Bragg reflector for the surface emitting semi-conductor laser was grown by gas

Accurate in-situ molecular beam epitaxial growth of vertical cavity surface emitting lasers on a rotating GaAs wafer is demonstrated using inclined incident He–Ne laser reflectometry. A sinusoidal intensity variation signal is observed in the refle

In this paper, characteristics of amplitude modulated harmonically mode locked (AM-HML) erbium doped fiber (EDF) ring laser are presented. It is investigated that the AM-HML method can provide a precise control of the lasing spectral bandwidth. Which

In this paper we propose a two step approach for obtaining coarse and fine alignment without using a microscope. The new approach Is based on moire technique. The alignment marks on the mask and the wafer are in the form of coarse and fine gratings.

A novel method to suppress the noise in harmonically mode-locked lasers, which relies on a coherent-phase relationship among all groups of the axial modes, is reported. An optical amplitude modulator, driven by the harmonic signal (up to ~2 GHz) with

An automatic tracking of the angular alignment position of mask with respect to the wafer in a photolithographic mask aligner is reported. It is demonstrated that automatic dynamic control with very high accuracy and stability of the angular alignmen

We report the experimental and theoretical results for high reflectivity (>99% at 850 nm) AlAs/AlGaAs distributed Bragg reflectors (DBR) for vertical cavity surface emitting semiconductor lasers (VCSEL). It is investigated that up to ± 10% deviation
