We provide algorithms for inferring GPS (Global Positioning System) location and for quantifying the uncertainty of this estimate in real time. The algorithms are tested on GPS data from locations in the Southern Hemisphere at four significantly diff

We recorded the time series of location data from stationary, single-frequency (L1) GPS positioning systems at a variety of geographic locations. The empirical autocorrelation function of these data shows significant temporal correlations. The Gaussi

We develop Bayesian algorithms to perform realtime positioning and uncertainty quantification on Global Positioning System (GPS) data. We test the algorithms on GPS data from several global locations and score their predictions using the log-score. T

Advances in animal tracking technology allow for improvement in farm resource management, animal welfare and the possibility of an overall reduction in running costs. We describe a light-weight solar-powered position sensor tag for livestock and a co

We analyze GPS position recordings, and show that they have long term autocorrelation functions. The traditional approach of assuming Gaussian uncertainties is therefore potentially problematic. We suggest some alternative noise models such as the Or
