The SLAC National Accelerator Laboratory is building LCLS-II, a new 4 GeV CW superconducting (SCRF) linac as a major upgrade of the existing LCLS. The SCRF linac consists of 35 ILC style cryomodules (eight cavities each) for a total of 280 cavities.

LCLS-II is a new xFEL facility under construction at SLAC National Accelerator Laboratory with a superconducting electron linac designed to operate up to §I{1.2}{MW} of beam power. This generates more serious beam hazards than the typical sub-kW lin

The unique properties of SRF cavities enable a new generation of X-ray light sources in XFEL and LCLS-II. The LCLS-II design calls for 280 L-band cavities to be operated in CW mode with a Q_{L} of 4x10⁷, using Single-Source Single-Cavity control. T

At the heart of the LCLS-II are two undulator lines: the hard x-ray (HXR) line and the soft x-ray line (SXR). The SXR line is comprised of 21 variable gap undulator segments separated by an interspace stands with a cam positioning system capable of p

For a free electron laser, the stability of injector is critical to the final electron beam parameters, e.g., beam energy, beam arrival time, and eventually it determines the photon quality. The LCLS-II project's injector contains a VHF copper cavity
