The transformation of LPSO type in Mg-4Y-2Er-2Zn-0.6Zr during heat treatment and its influence on damping and mechanical properties are reported in this work. Prior to heat treatment, the alloy consisted of α-Mg matrix and lamellar 14H LPSO phases.
