Na plating and stripping on Zn surfaces exhibits >99.9% faradaic efficiency for a range of current densities with a 1.0 M NaPF6 in a diglyme-based electrolyte. This enabled anode-free Na metal batteries with ∼90% capacity retention over 100 cycles.
