Here we present the latest results of our double side contacted, all screen printed n -type mono silicon solar cell development. N -type Czochralski ( n -Cz) silicon solar cell results are compared to those of standard p -type Cz ( p -Cz) silicon and

Plasma treatment of indium tin oxide (ITO) has been studied to form metallic nanoparticles (NPs) for nanostructure-based solar cells. It is demonstrated that NPs can be formed at temperatures as low as 100 °C, and the size of NPs increases with temp

It is shown in this paper that indeed silicon nanotechnology can significantly improve the performance of solar cells made on low-cost materials like polycrystalline silicon (pc-Si) thin films formed on glass substrates. By proper engineering of the

We present a concept for a core-shell silicon nanowire thin-film solar cell showing strong light trapping. Nanowires are wet chemically etched into a several micrometer-thick laser-crystallized silicon thin film on glass. The nanowires are equipped w

Silicon nanowires (SiNWs) are an interesting system for the realization of solar cells, as they offer an enhanced light absorption compared to bulk Si. However, due to their large surface, nanowire solar cells suffer from high surface recombination w

Silicon nanowire-based solar cells received increasing attention due to their enhanced light harvesting properties and the potential to use low-cost materials to produce solar cells comparable with those on costly monocrystalline counterparts. It is
