In the ecological literature, many models for the predator-prey interactions have been well formulated but partially analyzed.Assuming this analysis to be true and complete, some authors use that results to study a more complex relationship among spe

In this paper a modified May-Holling-Tanner predator-prey model is analyzed, considering an alternative food for predators, when the quantity of prey is scarce. Our obtained results not only extend but also complement existing ones for this model, ac

In this work, a modified Leslie–Gower-type predator–prey model is analyzed, considering now that the prey population is affected by a weak Allee effect, complementing results obtained in previous papers in which the consequences of strong Allee e

A large variety of antipredator defenses are exhibited by plants, animals and microbes in nature. A deep understanding of the dynamic consequences of prey responses to predation risk is essential for building a comprehensive theory of food webs. Here

In this work, a modified Holling–Tanner predator–prey model is analyzed, considering important aspects describing the interaction such as the following: the predator growth function is of a logistic type, and a weak Allee effect acting in the pre

The main purpose of this work is to analyze a Gause type predator-prey model in which two ecological phenomena are considered: the Allee effect affecting the prey growth function and the formation of group defence by prey in order to avoid the predat

In this work, a bidimensional differential equation system obtained by modifying the well-known predator–prey Rosenzweig–MacArthur model is analyzed by considering prey growth influenced by the Allee effect. One of the main consequences of this m
