Hyperpolarized 13C-MRI is an emerging tool for probing tissue metabolism by measuring 13C-label exchange between intravenously injected hyperpolarized [1–13C]pyruvate and endogenous tissue lactate. Here, we demonstrate that hyperpolarized 13C-MRI c
