Supermartingales are here defined on a non-probabilistic setting and can be interpreted solely in terms of superhedging operations. The classical expectation operator is replaced by a pair of subadditive operators one of them providing a class of nul

APOGEE-2 is a high-resolution, near-infrared spectroscopic survey observing similar to 3. x. 10(5) stars across the entire sky. It is the successor to APOGEE and is part of the Sloan Digital Sky Survey IV (SDSS-IV). APOGEE-2 is expanding on APOGEE's

Relativistic PT-symmetric fermionic interacting systems are studied in 1+1 and 3+1 dimensions. The objective is to include non-Hermitian PT-symmetric interaction terms that give {\it real} spectra. Such interacting systems could describe new physics.

Controlling and reversing the effects of loss are major challenges in optical systems. For lasers losses need to be overcome by a sufficient amount of gain to reach the lasing threshold. We show how to turn losses into gain by steering the parameters

We are carrying out a large ancillary program with the SDSS-III, using the fiber-fed multi-object NIR APOGEE spectrograph, to obtain high-resolution H-band spectra of more than 1200 M dwarfs. These observations are used to measure spectroscopic rotat

An elementary field-theoretic mechanism is proposed that allows one Lagrangian to describe a family of particles having different masses but otherwise similar physical properties. The mechanism relies on the observation that the Dyson-Schwinger equat

We have observed a large sample of spectroscopic binary stars in the Hyades Cluster, using high resolution infrared spectroscopy to detect low mass companions. We combine our double-lined infrared measurements with well constrained orbital parameters
