The spectrum of the (0, 0) band in the C 2 Π-A 2 Σ + transition of NO has been observed for the first time at high resolution. The emission arises as a result of recombination of N and O atoms via inverse predissociation. The absence of lines from

New bands in ND c1II-a1Δ have been photographed at high resolution providing accurate calculations of spectroscopic constants for the aIΔ state: ωe=2435 cm−; ωexe=39 cm−1; Be=8.956 cm−1; αe=0.245 cm−1. Improved Franck-Condon factors for

We have detected the b 1 Σ + state of ND, produced in a pulsed discharge through Ar/ND 3 , by exciting the c 1 Π ← b 1 Σ + 0,0 band with a tunable laser and monitoring c 1 Π → a 1 Δ fluorescence.

Electronically excited NH and ND(b 1Σ+, v′=0) have been produced in the vacuum ultraviolet photolysis of NH3 or ND3 at pressures in the millitorr range. Absolute quenching rate coefficients have been determined for NH(b 1Σ+) with oxygen and nitro

Using photographic flash spectroscopy of Xe/F2 mixtures, we have studied the B(1/2)–X(2Σ+) and D(1/2)−X(2Σ+) transition of XeF in absorption between 241 and 358 nm. The spectra exhibit extensive sequence crowding due to overlapping hot bands. T

As the Semiconductor industry moves toward 1 micron and submicron lithography, it is critical that anisotropic dry-etching reproduce the pattern linewidth control of the lithographic tools generating the patterns. The strength of custom processing in

The absolute fluorescence quantum yield of quinine bisulphate in aqueous 1N H2SO4 with excitation at 366 nm has been measured calorimetrically. A value of 0.561 is reported with an error conservatively estimated at 7 %.
