The tortricid moth “Eurythecta” leucothrinca Meyrick is here recorded from coastal salt marsh for the first time. The species is known from a number of sites, from eastern Canterbury to northern Southland, all in montane to sub-alpine grasslands.

A new technique for the measurement of photoneutron angular distributions using track detectors is described. Makrofoluranium-Makrofol sandwiches are placed around the sample being studied. Fission fragments, produced by fast-neutron interactions in

The photodisintegration of 15N through excited states of the residual nuclei has been studied by measuring the yields of de-excitation gamma rays in a Ge(Li) detector. Cross sections for all observed transitions were deduced from measurements with br

Gamma ray spectra from the reactions 13C( gamma ,n gamma ') and 13C( gamma ,p gamma ') have been measured simultaneously in a Ge(Li) detector at 112 degrees using bremsstrahlung with end-point energies in the range 15-44 MeV in order to study the dec

The fission cross-sections of U-235, U-238 and Pu-239 and the capture cross-section of U-238 have been evaluated in the energy range 100 eV to 20 MeV. Below 100 keV, the cross-sections have been considered independently but at energies above 100 keV,

The fission-neutron angular distributions have been measured relative to the incident beam in the photofission of 232Th and 238U near the fission threshold. The Harwell 45 MeV electron linac was used to provide bremsstrahlung with end-point energies

This paper describes the design and commissioning of a large oil-moderated BF3 detector assembly for photofission and photoneutron studied in the photon energy range 5–10 MeV. The detector is shown to have a high neutron detection efficiency which
