The positions of the components of a reactor can change over time, due to radiation damage, sagging, etc. Thus, it is important to determine their positions. To satisfy this requirement of the staff at the Point Lepreau Generating Station, a method t

The morphological development of larval cobia Rachycentron canadum from 3 days post hatch (dph) until weaning (27 dph) was examined using S.E.M. Two groups of fish were studied: a control group (CF), reared under standard feeding protocol, and a grou

Background Neuropathic pain, caused by a lesion or a disease affecting the somatosensory system, is one of the most common complications in diabetic patients. The purpose of this study is to identify genetic factors contributing to this type of pain

Smokers report more pain and worse functioning. The evidence from pain clinics suggests that depression affects this relationship: The association between smoking and chronic pain is weakened when controlling for depression. This study explored the r

We observe for the first time rotational bands of enhanced deformation (ED) in 127 Pr and 128 Pr, and suggest that these bands are built upon πg9/2 ( [404] 9 2 ) in 127 Pr and on the πg9/2νh11/2 orbitals in 128 Pr. These are the lightest isotopes

Superdeformation studies in {sup 189,191,192}Tl at Gammasphere are discussed. New results on {sup 191}Tl are the observation of interband transitions between the signature partner E2 bands and the measurement of an average quadrupole moment (Q{sub 0}

Four superdeformed bands have been confirmed in {sup 192}Tl. Two of these bands have I{sup (2)} dynamic moments of inertia which are nearly constant with rotational frequency {h_bar}{omega}. The other two bands show the characteristic rise of I{sup (
