Abstract Background Cross-species comparison of transcriptomes is important for elucidating evolutionary molecular mechanisms underpinning phenotypic variation between and within species, yet to date it has been essentially limited to model organisms

The melanocyte-inducing transcription factor (MITF)–low melanoma transcriptional signature is predictive of poor outcomes for patients, but little is known about its biological significance, and animal models are lacking. Here, we used zebrafish ge

Parametric assumptions in population genetics analysis – including linearity, sources of population stratification and additivity of variance as part of a Gaussian noise – are often made, yet their (approximate) validity depends on variant and tr

The problem of inferring pair-wise and higher-order interactions in complex systems involving large numbers of interacting variables, from observational data, is fundamental to many fields. Known to the statistical physics community as the inverse pr

We train a set of Restricted Boltzmann Machines (RBMs) on one- and two-dimensional Ising spin configurations at various values of temperature, generated using Monte Carlo simulations. We validate the training procedure by monitoring several estimator

We review the domain wall charm physics program of the RBC and UKQCD collaborations based on simulations including ensembles with physical pion mass. We summarise our current set-up and present a status update on the decay constants $f_D$, $f_{D_s}$,

We present a progress update on the calculation of beyond the standard model (BSM) kaon mixing matrix elements at the physical point. Simulations are performed using 2+1 flavour domain wall lattice QCD with the Iwasaki gauge action at 3 lattice spaci

We present RBC/UKQCD's charm project using $N_f=2+1$ flavour ensembles with inverse lattice spacings in the range $1.73-2.77\,\mathrm{GeV}$ and two physical pion mass ensembles. Domain wall fermions are used for the light as well as the charm quarks.

We provide an overview of RBC/UKQCD's charm project on 2+1 flavour physical pion mass ensembles using M\"obius Domain Wall Fermions for the light as well as for the charm quark. We discuss the analysis strategy in detail and present results at the di
