A novel concept for hydrogen permeable membrane proposed here is the use of oxide composites consisting of proton and electron conducting oxides. Composites with the overall composition of (1 − y )(SrZrO 3 ) − y (SrFeO 3 ) were chosen as a model

Hydrogen permeation measurements were carried out to investigate how a co-existing gas with hydrogen affects the hydrogen permeability of a silver 23 wt%–palladium alloy of 20 μ m in thickness. The hydrogen flux was reduced by the co-introduction

Hydrogen permeation measurements were carried out by using an Ag 23 wt%-Pd alloy membrane of 20 μ m thickness at temperatures from 773 to 873 K. Contrary to some reported results, hydrogen permeation flux was not affected by the co-existence of H 2

The electrical conductivity of polycrystalline Sr(Ti 0.999 Nb 0.001 )O 3 was investigated. The conductivity was smaller by 1–2 order than that of the single crystal. The conductivity increased with temperature with the activation energy of 0.61 eV.

Two methods of hydrogen separation using proton-conducting perovskites, electrochemical hydrogen pumping with proton-conducting electrolytes and hydrogen sieving through protonic–electronic mixed conductors, are stated. In the former case, high tem
