In this paper, a modified model predictive control (MMPC) scheme is proposed for controlling a back-to-back (BTB) T-type neutral-point-clamped converter (TNPCC). The BTB TNPCC ties a permanent magnet synchronous generator (PMSG) to an electric grid.
