As a method of quantum pulse gating in a quantum simulator, we experimentally demonstrate arbitrary mixing of multimode quantum states prepared in the frequency domain.

We generate spectral multimode squeezed states and demonstrate quantum mode mixing, a method to arbitrarily mix the spectral multimode quantum states of light using a type-II PPLN waveguide, which is applicable to quantum simulators.
