The current work is aimed at isolating and identifying new Entomopathogenic bacterium (EPB) strains associated with Steinernema feltiae and assessing the EPB’s biocontrol potential on Aphis punicae and Aphis illinoisensis adults in the laboratory.

Aphids are serious pests of a wide range of agricultural crops, including pomegranates and grapevines. In addition, due to the negative environmental impacts of chemical insecticides, these pests are developing important resistance against aphicides.
