The challenges of real world applications of the laser detection and ranging (Lidar) three-dimensional (3-D) imaging require specialized algorithms. In this paper, a new reconstruction algorithm for single-photon 3-D Lidar images is presented that ca

We present a method of improving the spatial resolution of a single-photon counting light detection and ranging system using a sub-pixel micro-scanning approach. The time-correlated single-photon counting technique was used to measure photon time-of-

The response of cells to changes in their physico-chemical micro-environment is essential to their survival. For example, bacterial magnetotaxis uses the Earth's magnetic field together with chemical sensing to help microorganisms move towards favour
