Time-resolved single-crystal X-ray diffraction experiments largely focus on timescales shorter than microseconds, whereby slower population dynamics are missed. Here, the authors resolve the 3D structures of photoexcited solid-state species with mill

The kinetically regulated automated input crystalliser for Raman spectroscopy (KRAIC-R) combines highly controlled crystallisation environments, via tri segmented flow, with non-invasive confocal Raman spectroscopy. Taking advantage of the highly rep

In this work we use high-resolution synchrotron X-ray diffraction for electron density mapping, in conjunction with ab initio modelling, to study short O—H⋯O and O+—H⋯O− hydrogen bonds whose behaviour is known to be tuneable by temperature.

Understanding and controlling crystal surfaces is a critical problem in contemporary materials science. Organic crystal surfaces present the additional complexity of multiple terminations with different functional groups. These alternate terminations

X-ray phase contrast imaging (XPCI) of anti-solvent crystallization of lovastatin from an acetone/water solution was carried out in a concentric flow mixing device, using water as the anti-solvent. Spinodal decomposition of the solution is observed t
