A highly efficient and simple Fmoc-based preparation of peptide αthioesters is presented. After Fmoc/t-butyl solid-phase synthesis on 2-chlorotrityl resin the C-terminal carboxylic group of the protected peptide is directly converted to the correspo

We have recently developed a soluble mimic of the corticotropin-releasing factor receptor type 1 (CRF1), a membrane-spanning G protein-coupled receptor, which allowed investigations on receptor-ligand interactions. The CRF1 mimic consists of the rece

The effect of tertiary amine (DIEA) on reaction rate and product purity of a carbodiimide/HOBt-mediated peptide synthesis was studied. It was found that very rapid activation can be achieved using carbodiimide/HOBt in non-polar solvents, such as DCM.
