We compare the RZ-DQPSK modulation format in 160 Gb/s single channel systems with RZ, CSRZ, RZ-DPSK and CSRZ-DPSK for the first time. We find that RZ-DQPSK offers nearly three time better dispersion tolerance than CSRZ-DPSK.

we demonstrate all-optical fiber signal processing at 10 Gbit/s, 40 Gbit/s and 80 Gbit/s including wavelength conversion, 2R regeneration and OTDM demultiplexing based on balanced nonlinear optical loop mirror and dispersion-imbalanced loop mirror.
