Topological superconductivity is an exotic phase of matter in which the fully gapped superconducting bulk hosts gapless Majorana surface states protected by topology. Intercalation of copper, strontium, or niobium between the quintuple layers of the

${\mathrm{FeSe}}_{0.45}{\mathrm{Te}}_{0.55}$ (FeSeTe) has recently emerged as a promising candidate to host topological superconductivity, with a Dirac surface state and signatures of Majorana bound states in vortex cores. However, correlations stron

Van der Waals materials offer unprecedented control of electronic properties via stacking of different types of two-dimensional materials. A fascinating frontier, largely unexplored, is the stacking of strongly correlated phases of matter. We study 4

$1T\text{\ensuremath{-}}{\mathrm{TaS}}_{2}$ is a layered transition-metal dichalcogenide with a very rich phase diagram. At $T=180$ K it undergoes a metal to Mott insulator transition. Mott insulators usually display antiferromagnetic ordering in the

The crossover from Bardeen-Cooper-Schrieffer (BCS) superconductivity to Bose-Einstein condensation (BEC) is difficult to realize in quantum materials because, unlike in ultracold atoms, one cannot tune the pairing interaction. We realize the BCS-BEC

We present muon spin rotation measurements on superconducting Cu intercalated Bi$_2$Se$_3$, which was suggested as a realization of a topological superconductor. We observe a clear evidence of the superconducting transition below 4 K, where the width

Angle-resolved photoemission spectroscopy is used to study the band-structure of superconducting electrochemically intercalated Cu$_x$Bi$_2$Se$_3$. We find that in these samples the band-gap at the $\Gamma$ point is much larger than in pristine Bi$_2

We demonstrate efficient linear-optical access to surface-state spin dynamics in Bi2Se3 by probing transitions between two surface-state Dirac cones, providing a practical technique for spin-current dynamics studies in topological-insulator devices.

In an ideal bulk topological-insulator (TI) conducting surface states protected by time reversal symmetry enfold an insulating crystal. However, the archetypical TI, Bi2Se3, is actually never insulating; it is in fact a relatively good metal. Neverth
