Karyotypic studies were conducted on six species of the genus Gerbillus occurring in Jordan. These gerbils belong to two groups; naked-footed (G. dasyurus, G. henleyi and G. nanus) and hairy footed ones (G. andersoni, G. cheesmani and G. gerbillus).
