La doped Bi -2201 thin films were deposited on SrTiO 3 vicinal substrates with their (100) planes ~6° misoriented. The angular-dependent resistivity was studied in magnetic fields up to 23.5 T.

A new tetragonal (P42(1)2) crystalline form of [Cr8F8Piv16] (HPiv = pivalic acid, trimethyl acetic acid) is reported. The ring-shaped molecules, which are aligned in a parallel fashion in the unit cell, form almost perfectly planar, regular octagons.

High-frequency point-contact spectroscopy as well as conventional low-frequency PC spectroscopy has been used for determining the spectral functions of the electron-phonon interaction (EPI) for three disilicides TiSi2, TaSi2, and VSi2. The temperatur

A multitechnique approach has allowed the first experimental determination of single-ion anisotropies in a large iron(III)-oxo cluster, namely [NaFe6(OCH3)12(pmdbm)6ClO4 (1) in which Hpmdbm = 1,3-bis(4-methoxyphenyl)-1,3-propanedione. High-frequency

It is shown that the observed quantum Hall effect in epitaxial layers of heavily doped n-type GaAs with thickness $(50\ensuremath{-}140\mathrm{nm})$ larger the mean free path of the conduction electrons $(15--30 \mathrm{nm})$ and, therefore, with a t

We propose a model for the low-temperature conductivity of intercalated multiwall carbon nanotube bundles in terms of three-dimensional weak localization, with a weakly temperature-dependent inelastic scattering process, and interaction effect. At a
