This publication argues that Public Food Procurement (PFP) can provide a market for local and smallholder farmers, promote the conservation and sustainable use of agrobiodiversity, and improve the nutrition and health of children and communities.
This volume presents further analysis of the instruments for, enablers of and barriers to the implementation of Public Food Procurement. It also provides national case studies like sustainable food procurement in British school catering.
