Increasing evidence signals the importance of macromolecular crowding on the regulation of the membrane protein activity. Lysenin is a pore forming toxin that forms crowded assemblies in membrane containing sphingomyelin microdomains. We studied the

The Millennial generation is usually delimited to western people born between 1980 and 1999 (figures may vary depending on the study). Millennial generation is entering the work labor force worldwide and this has made them extensively studied. This g

Nuclear energy has created controversy since its conception during the 1950s. Arguments against it have been constant through the years until the current state on which the majority of western societies are against it as seen in recent surveys. Addit

In this paper we present a second order 3D method for Maxwell's equations based on a Godunov scheme with Adaptive Mesh Refinement (AMR). In order to achieve it, we apply a limiter which better preserves extrema and boundary conditions based on a char

A large variety of software has been developed for numerical simulations of plasma radiation emission and transport and the design of optics. Many of these codes are not specifically for short wavelengths but they can be helpful in the design of X-ra

The interaction of high intensity X-ray lasers with matter is modeled. A collisional-radiative time-dependent module is implemented to study radiation transport in matter from ultrashort and ultraintense X-ray bursts. Inverse bremsstrahlung absorptio

In this paper we treat electron distributions produced in high intensity X-ray laser experiments and compare the behaviour of the sample assuming thermalization or following the non-equilibrium distribution at densities well below that of the solid.
