With this article, the authors propose to temporarily complete the cycle of texts devoted to metaverses and virtual reality – before "retiring to the study room" to systematize new data and new phenomena in this area, because in any study, the time

The article from various angles examines the topic of the so-called "metaverse" that has suddenly become "fashionable". The authors raise the question of the origins, history, and the real degree of novelty of the term and the real objects and proces

We provide sharp upper bounds for the number of symmetrizations required to transform a star shaped set in \({\mathbb {R}}^n\) arbitrarily close (in the Hausdorff metric) to the Euclidean ball.

We present a direct analytic method towards an estimate for the rate of convergence (to the Euclidean Ball) of Steiner symmetrizations. To this end we present a modified version of a known stability property of the Steiner symmetrization.

We develop an orbit point of view on the notations of type and cotype and extend Kwapien’s theorem to this setting. We show that such approach provides an exact equality in the latter theorem. In addition, we discuss several well known theorems and

We prove a new family of inequalities, which compare the integral of a geometric convolution of non-negative functions with the integrals of the original functions. For classical inf-convolution, this type of inequality is called the Prekopa-Leindler

In this article we examine a potential problem for Raimond Gaita (born 1946). It arises from the way that Gaita, in Good and Evil: An Absolute Conception, affirms the value of describing Eichmann as sacred, yet says that he, as a non-religious person

In this paper we show that given a \(p\)-convex set \(K \subset \mathbb{R }^n\), there exist \(5n\) Steiner symmetrizations that transform it into an isomorphic Euclidean ball. That is, if \(|K| = |D_n| = \kappa _n\), we may symmetrize it, using \(5n
