An interplay between monomeric and dimeric forms of human epidermal growth factor (EGF) affecting its interaction with EGF receptor (EGFR) is poorly understood. While EGF dimeric structure was resolved at pH 8.1, the possibility of EGF dimerization u

All available full-length nucleotide sequences of avian Influenza A virus neuraminidase coding region were analyzed and compared with those of N1 and N2 isolated from viruses infecting human and swine. Nucleotide usage bias analysis showed that in mo

Influenza A/H1N1 virus hemagglutinin (HA) is an integral type I glycoprotein that contains a large glycosylated ectodomain, a transmembrane domain, and a cytoplasmic tail (CT) of 10-14 amino acid residues. There are absolutely no data on the secondar

It was studied the features of amino acid content of protein regions of “alpha + beta” and “alpha/beta” classes, that are prone to structural transitions. The data have been obtained by the way of the comparison of different threedimensional

In this study we examined microenvironment of Trp residues in “dry” sets of nonhomologous proteins that belong to four structural classes, as well as in a “wet” set. In silico experiments showed that residues of Trp demonstrate higher surface
