Tetrabutylammonium prolinate ionic liquid (TBAPIL) was prepared, and mesoporous silica nanoparticles (NPs) were synthesized. Both of these were linked through propyltriethoxysilane to prepare a reusable catalyst TBAPIL@Si(CH2)3@silica NPs (TBAPILS).
