Pakan merupakan faktor utama pemeliharaan ayam pedaging yang menempati 75% dari biaya produksi. Pakan dengan kandungan AGP menyebabkan resistensi pada manusia dan hewan. Oleh karena itu, dikembangkan alternatif non-antibiotik seperti probiotik yeast.
