The long-term potential for acclimation by lichens to changing climates is poorly known, despite their prominent roles in forested ecosystems. Although often considered "extremophiles", lichens may not readily acclimate to novel climates well beyond

Boron-doped Czochralski (Cz) Si is the most commonly used semiconductor in the fabrication of solar cells. The minority carrier lifetime of boron-doped Cz Si decreases upon exposure to light due to B–O-related defects, which reduce the performance

Monocrystalline Si solar cells are fabricated from Czochralski (Cz) Si, which contains 1017–1018 cm−3 oxygen atoms. Cz Si undergoes degradation during high-temperature thermal processing steps, such as dopant diffusion to form the p - n junction.

We report on the electron paramagnetic resonance (EPR) spectra recorded at 6 K for Ga-doped Czochralski (Cz) Si in the initial stages of light- and elevated-temperature-induced degradation (LeTID). We show that the narrow-range EPR spectrum depends o

We report on the electron paramagnetic resonance (EPR) spectra of Cz and FZ Si in different stages of light-induced degradation. Firstly, we show that the paramagnetic signal at low temperature (10K) is dependent on the state of light-induced degrada

We study the photocarrier lifetime evolution of n-Cz Si material throughout the processing sequence for polycrystalline passivated contact devices. We show that a high temperature annealing pretreatment (known as Tabula Rasa) has a clear effect on en
