Samples of Spirulina platensis were collected from Lake Foum Elouad, Laayoune (South of Morocco) and cultivated using Zarrouk¿s synthetic medium in the laboratory. The essential oil was isolated by hydrodistillation and analysed by GC/FID and GC/MS.
