New geopolymer-based materials offer excellent perspectives for the future; they should not be regarded as competitive materials for Portland cement, which has been the reference construction material for so long, but as alternative materials with a

Kaolin samples were collected to study the mineralogical, texture, chemical composition, thermal behavior, and treatment and also the possibility to convert kaolinite mineral into metakaolin and use it as a natural pozzolanic and/or as geopolymer mat

Nowadays kaolin raw material is usually used to produce nano-kaolin for geopolymer enhancement by using firing method. In the present study, kaolin used was taken from the Naqus Formation (Cambro-Ordovician age), west of Gabal El Gunna, Sinai, Egypt.
