We describe the application of the phase plane method to analyze the behavior of stationary harmonic plane electromagnetic waves. The phase plane method allows one to describe qualitatively all possible solutions of the Helmholtz nonlinear differenti

An alternative expression for the Poynting vector for monitoring electromagnetic energy flow in confined regions of evanescent waves is presented. This expression is an intrinsic integrable function of the boundary problem solution in the method of s

In 2011, a network of five thallium-doped sodium iodide (Nal(Tl)) detectors was installed on Aragats Space Environmental Center (ASEC) and was included into ASEC detectors system. Along with monitoring of different species of secondary cosmic rays, A

Active uniform fiber Bragg grating (FBG) written in the Er-doped or Er:Yt-co-doped fiber is theoretically investigated. We found that when pumped, two symmetric maximums arise in the reflectivity spectrum of such an FBG near the edges of its bandwidt

A mathematical description of the spectral and temporal changes in a probe pulse occurring as a result of cross-phase modulation interaction between the probe pulse and a soliton with a nonoverlapping spectrum and different delay copropagating in a s

The stationary form of a femtosecond pulse in an anomalously dispersive medium with third-order nonlinearity in the presence of quasi-continuous radiation is obtained by solving the wave equation. It is found that under these conditions the soliton r

The Aragats Space Environmental Center facilities continuously measure fluxes of neutral and charged secondary cosmic ray incidents on the Earth's surface. Since 2003 in the 1-minute time series we have detected more than 100 enhancements in the elec
