Crystals of the Nd 2−x Ce x CuO 4 have been grown by a self flux technique. The maximum size of these crystals was 20×20×1.5 mm 3 . The crystal quality was determined by X-ray topography, Raman scattering and energy dispersive X-ray analysis (EDA
