TE-pass integrated optical polarizers have been fabricated in X-cut LiNbO3 by using titanium indiffusion in conjunction with proton exchange. The polarizers, which are designed to operate at λ = 0.8–0.85 μm, exhibit an excess insertion loss of 0.
