The structure of oxide films of aluminium powders has been established to depend on the size of its particles. The temperature dependence of the oxidation of the powder in air is ascribed to changes in both the structure of the oxide laver and the pr

Three types of sorption interactions with the corresponding Pd aquachlorocomplexes [Pd(H2O)2Cl2]0, [Pd(H2O)Cl3]− and [PdCl4]2− have been discovered on γ-Al2O3 at surface concentrations for the active component and the competing HCl ranging withi

The amount of Al3+ ions migrating into HCl solution from unit surface of Al2O3 grows with increasing oxide calcination temperature up to 1123 K, remains unchanged up to 1373 K and then, after the formation of α-Al2O3, rises sharply. Preliminary rehy

A quantum-chemical analysis of the models for geminal OH groups of Al2O3 and of the processes of their dehydroxylation with further dissociative chemisorption of hydrogen has been carried out. Calculations were performed by the SCF MO LCAO method usi

Specificity of the bands at 1630–1620 cm−1 in IR spectra of coordinatively bonded pyridine has been studied. Three strong Lewis-type acid centers have been revealed on Al2O3 surface.
