It is established that a nonuniform electric field with an average strength of 104–107 V/m has an insignificant effect on the evaporation of polar liquids, reducing its rate, while it does not affect the evaporation of nonpolar liquids.

We calculate the temperature field in a metal under the action of a rectangular thermal surface impulse with a fixed total energy and varying duration. It is shown that for a given duration of this impulse, conditions are created which ensure a maxim

When a high-power thermal pulse acts on a metal, evaporation is one of the chief effects taking place during this thermophysical process. The temperature field of the metal is considered, allowing for evaporation, when both the surface and interior o

We examine the thermophysieal processes at the initial and final stages of a pulse through joint consideration of surface evaporation and thermal field emission as cooling effects and the effects of all heat sources acting on the cathode.
