Les deux objectifs de cette étude ont été d’ajuster les courbes de lactation des vaches Holstein en Tunisie et d’étudier les facteurs de variations des paramètres de ces dernières. L’ajustement a été réalisé selon le modèle de Wood p

Genetic parameters were estimated for first lactation survival defined as a binary trait (alive or dead to second calving) and the curve shape traits of milk yield, fat and protein percentages using information from 25 981 primiparous Tunisian Hols

Research to assess the effect of single genes on reproductive traits in bovine species is imperative to elucidate genes' functions and acquire a better perspective of quantitative traits. The present study was undertaken to characterize genetic diver

Lameness is the third most important infection affecting dairy cattle in modern stabling barns. Environmental (food, stables and injuries) and genetic factors are responsible for this pathology. This study aims to investigate the screening of lept

A multi-trait repeatability animal model under restricted maximum likelihood (REML) and Bayesian methods was used to estimate genetic parameters of milk, fat, and protein yields in Tunisian Holstein cows. The estimates of heritability for milk, fat,

Multi-trait Bayesian procedure was used to estimate genetic parameters for reproductive traits in Tunisian Holstein cows. A total of 31 348 lactations of the calving years 2005 to 2012 were analyzed. Fertility traits were the calving interval (CI), d

Diversity of Arabian stallions distributed throughout the territory of Tunisia has been evaluated. Seventeen microsatellite markers were used for the determination of genetic variation. A total of 95 alleles were detected in the 50 stallions studied.
