The non-stoichiometric system Li0.8Ni0.6Sb0.4O2 is a Li-deficient derivative of the zigzag honeycomb antiferromagnet Li3Ni2SbO6. Structural and magnetic properties of Li0.8Ni0.6Sb0.4O2 were studied by means of X-ray diffraction, magnetic susceptibili

GdFeTeO6 and GdGaTeO6 have been prepared and their structures refined by the Rietveld method. Both are superstructures of the rosiaite type (space group P3¯1c). Their thermodynamic properties have been investigated by means of magnetization M and sp

We report the first four magnetic representatives of the trigonal layered A2M(4+)TeO6 (here, M = Mn) family. Na2MnTeO6 was synthesized from NaMnO2, NaNO3, and TeO2 at 650–720 °C, but analogues for ...

Antiferromagnetic PbMnTeO6, also known as mineral kuranakhite, has been reported recently to have all three cations in trigonal prismatic coordination, which is extremely unusual for both Mn(4+) and Te(6+). In this work, the phase was reproduced with

The manganese tellurate ${\mathrm{Li}}_{2}{\mathrm{MnTeO}}_{6}$ consists of trigonal spin lattices made up of ${\mathrm{Mn}}^{4+}$ (${d}^{3}$, $S=3/2$) ions. The magnetic properties of this compound were characterized by several experimental techniqu

Li3Co2SbO6 is prepared by molten salt ion exchange and its structure refined by the Rietveld method confirming the honeycomb-type Co/Sb ordering of its Na precursor. Monoclinic rather than trigonal symmetry of Na3Co2SbO6 is directly demonstrated for

An orthorhombic compound, $\mathrm{NaMnSb}{\mathrm{O}}_{4}$, represents a square net of magnetic $\mathrm{M}{\mathrm{n}}^{2+}$ ions residing in vertex-shared oxygen octahedra. Its static and dynamic magnetic properties were studied using magnetic sus

Four new manganese germanates and silicates, A2MnGeO4 (A = Li, Na) and A2MnSiO4 (A = Na, Ag), were prepared, and their crystal structures were determined using the X-ray Rietveld method. All of them contain all components in tetrahedral coordination.
