The field of text-to-audio generation has seen significant advancements, and yet the ability to finely control the acoustic characteristics of generated audio remains under-explored. In this paper, we introduce a novel yet simple approach to generate

Copula-based dependence modelling often relies on parametric formulations. This is mathematically convenient but can be statistically inefficient if the parametric families are not suitable for the data and model in focus. To improve the flexibility

We present Sketch2Sound, a generative audio model capable of creating high-quality sounds from a set of interpretable time-varying control signals: loudness, brightness, and pitch, as well as text prompts. Sketch2Sound can synthesize arbitrary sounds

A recent report on the detection of very-high-energy gamma rays from V4641 Sagittarii (V4641 Sgr) up to ~0.8 peta-electronvolt has made it the second confirmed "PeVatron" microquasar. Here we report on the observation of V4641 Sgr with X-Ray Imaging

In this letter, we revisit the symmetries of Galilean Electrodynamics (GED) in a spacetime of generic dimension $d+1$. We show that these symmetries are infinitely many, and in $d=3$ they correspond to the conformal Milne algebra extended by $U(1)$.

Accurate estimation of the whole-body center of mass (CoM) is essential for assessing human stability and postural control. However, selecting the most accurate estimation method is challenging due to the complexity of human movement, diverse nature

Generating sound effects for videos often requires creating artistic sound effects that diverge significantly from real-life sources and flexible control in the sound design. To address this problem, we introduce MultiFoley, a model designed for vide

The whole-body center of mass (CoM) plays an important role in quantifying human movement. Prediction of future CoM trajectory, modeled as a point mass under influence of external forces, can be a surrogate for inferring intent. Given the current CoM

It is generally assumed that all cells in models of the electrical behavior of cardiac tissue have the same properties. However, there are differences in cardiac cells that are not well characterized but cause spatial heterogeneity of the electrical

There is a growing need to understand how digital systems can support clinical decision-making, particularly as artificial intelligence (AI) models become increasingly complex and less human-interpretable. This complexity raises concerns about trustw
