New features of the generalized symmetries of generic two-dimensional dilaton models of gravity are presented and invariant gravity-matter couplings are introduced. We show that there is a continuum set of Noether symmetries, which contains half a De

We present a complete quantization of an approximately homogeneous and isotropic universe with small scalar perturbations. We consider the case in which the matter content is a minimally coupled scalar field and the spatial sections are flat and comp

We show in this Letter that gravity coupled to a massless scalar field with full cylindrical symmetry can be exactly quantized by an extension of the techniques used in the quantization of Einstein-Rosen waves. This system provides a use

The symmetries of generic two-dimensional (2D) dilaton models of gravity with (and without) matter are studied in some detail. It is shown that δ2, one of the symmetries of the matterless models, can be generalized to the case where matter fields of

Starting with a procedure for dealing with general asymptotic behavior, we construct a quantum theory for asymptotically anti-de Sitter wormholes. We follow both the path integral formalism and the algebraic quantization program proposed by Ashtekar.
