Au nanoparticles fully coated with omega-ferrocenyl hexanethiolate ligands, with average composition Au225(omega-ferrocenyl hexanethiolate)43, exhibit a unique combination of adsorption properties on Pt electrodes. The adsorbed layer is so robust tha
