The thermoluminescence (TL) method of dating stalagmitic calcite has been applied to twenty-seven samples from two paleolithic cave sites; Pontnewydd, Wales, and Caune de l'Arago, Tautavel, France. Environmental dose-rates were evaluated mainly by me
